Area Nominees:

Colby Roberts – Boy’s Lacrosse – Mountain Ridge High School

Not only was Colby one of Mountain Ridge Lacrosse points leaders throughout March. He is a great sportsman as well. In a tight game against Alta on March 25th Alta’s #10, was trying to clear the ball and did something to his knee. He was about halfway across the field trying to jump on one foot back to his sideline because the refs didn’t call time. Colby Roberts, an attack for Mountain Ridge who had scored multiple times, saw #10 jumping trying to get off the field and ran over to him and helped him off of the field. When Colby got to#10, he immediately fell into Colby looking thankful someone came to help him, even if it was someone from the other team. Colby is an exceptional athlete and the epitome of a great teammate, sportsman, leader and overall human being. He sets an example for all of us.

Kyle Ebner – Boy’s Lacrosse – Juan Diego Catholic High

For the month of April Kyle has scored 19 goals, 9 assists, 17 ground balls, and 4 caused turnovers. For the season Kyle leads the team (which has an 11-1 record) with 36 goals, 15 assists, 34 ground balls, and 9 caused turnovers.

Chloe Borges – Softball – Riverton High School

One of our starting pitchers on the 1st ranked team in the state.  In 26 innings she has 42 strikeouts and a .797 ERA. She also has a .526 batting average and a slugging average of 1.158. Chloe has committed to play at the University of Hawaii next year. She is a wonderful team leader and we wish her the best of luck in the future.

Madison Edgington – Golf – Herriman High School

As the only senior, Madison has taken the leadership role to a whole new level. She makes sure all the girls are involved and feel included (even our numerous freshmen). We would not have the success we have had without Madison’s leadership on and especially, off the course.

Addi Bruening – Track and Field – Herriman High School

Addi has been the ultimate teammate while being one of the States best distance runners. She was less than half of a second from breaking the 5 minute barrier in the mile!
