Jordan High School has hired Ryan Sedillo as the New Head Coach for the Lady Digger Softball Program. Sedillo, a former alumnus from Jordan High School has been a part of the Beetdigger Program for the past couple years and is thrilled to help build and improve the program.
Sedillo played baseball for Jordan High School and was apart of the State Championship team back in 2014. He made one of the greatest hustle plays that is still talked about in the program to this day, when he scored from second base on a sacrifice fly in centerfield. Sedillo then went on to play College Baseball for Sterling College in Sterling Kansas. There he was apart of the 2016 team that won a KCAC Championship and a Regional in Jamestown North Dakota. That lead them to making it to the NAIA College World Series in Lewiston Idaho where they placed 5th in the nation.
After graduating Sedillo wanted to get into coaching and saw an opening for an assistant position for the lady diggers and has been with the program since 2018. We asked him what he is looking forward to in the 2020 – 2021 season:
“I am extremely excited for this opportunity and am anxious to get things rolling! Really looking forward to making some positive changes to this wonderful program and hopefully create something special that everyone wants to be apart of. We are looking to fill those stands up and play some good ball! Again, thankful to Jordan High School for this opportunity and looking forward to our season”.
Welcome back to Jordan, Coach Sedillo!
